“In general, therapy is a learning process. The client learns new aspects of himself, new ways of relating to others, new ways of behaving”
— Carl Rogers

Some of the more common reasons people seek the help of a professional would be for support while dealing with depression, anxiety, bereavement, work related stress, family relationships and self-esteem issues.

I use an integrative style of counselling with the person-centered approach and its philosophy of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard at the heart of each and every session. Each person is the expert in their own life. Carl Rogers stated that “In general, therapy is a learning process. The client learns new aspects of himself, new ways of relating to others, new ways of behaving” (1951, Person-Centered Therapy). And this if often the goal of therapy, to learn a new way of relating to others but more importantly to ourselves.
